So have a delivery today of two Nems from Aqua SD. The UPS truck was literally about 2 min from my house only to take his clown truck about 15 min away and making routes in the area he is in now!!!!! My tick off with crap like this is its live stock and do they not understand that it’s time sensitive? My local USPS office calls me first thing 8am that I have live animals being shipped. They ask if I want to come in, or send an individual to my house. I get that I’m number 1 million in a day route! But come on UPS get a live stock delivery center because enough is being shipped that would make sense. My old driver before retiring would make it his duty to bring me live stock right away!

There rant over haha!

Get My Choice Premium and schedule a delivery window. Or have it held at the UPS store closest to you. Our drivers don't start until 9am and are usually leaving the hub around 945. They drop at the 3 UPS stores in my area by 1030. My house is the last block on the route so it can be 9pm before I get packages.

100% just have them hold it for you to pick up. Thankfully I'm first on the drop off but sometimes I go pick it up.

I don’t think I can schedule a delivery window till a first try took place. And issue is not that it’s being delivered later on in the day, or sooner. But that it’s live stock and there is a timer on such packages. Running round all day to have temp sensitive animals stay on a truck is not right.

I need to look into the hold at location. With my account I only have deliver at a different date and time, or a different location. Next time I will look into hold at location.

You can with my choice premium. It does have a fee as well but I have done it.

I wouldn't worry too much between a morning or afternoon package delivery. Now if its on the truck from the start to end of shift. Yea that is no good But UPS/Fedex should be delivering in the morning for overnight shipping.

Upgrade to my choice premium. It is $30/year.

Depends on your location. We do not have a delivery time for overnight service here. Too rural. We just have a before 7pm and then it isn't uncommon to be moved to 9pm lol

I only thought about this myself recently and feel foolish for not doing it. :expressionless-face: Saves all the time on the truck driving around with minimal temp control and another chance at being lost etc. Especially if you are on the latter portion of a route when the package might get pushed to the next day at times.

I slip my UPS guy a $50 spot for the holidays, call him by his first name, and thank him every time he comes by. Seems I've become his first stop never later than 9:30. Funny how things work.

That's weird. I gave mine $100 on Christmas Eve and routinely meet him at the truck. He takes care of me. But I don't expect him to drive 12 miles out of his way to come to my place first lol. Now he did drive back to the hub 15 miles to get one of my packages a couple weeks ago because he realized it was livestock that had missed the truck.

I don’t have a regular set for my area that I know of yet. My OG delivery driver retired this pasted summer. Real good dude! My mum bakes home made bread to die for, would give him some when it was fresh and he showed up. Had a good thing going with him haha. We talked fishing all the time. As in rod and reel.

A cooler with ice cold waters on hot summer days wins you a ton of points with delivery folks too.

Most reputable shippers use priority overnight which delivers by 12:00 Noon. If they are not shipping priority I won't buy from them as you don't know how long it will be on the truck. It is an option for both Fedex and UPS. Shipments from Battlecorals and Sunnyside Corals both used priority last week.

Good to know. Ordered three xr15 light mounts. Over night was cheap and got them today around 9:30 am.

UPS has 3 tiers of next day service with deliveries by 8 AM, noon, or 4:30 PM.

But not available in all areas. It is called Priority Overnight to me for UPS and just Next Day Express for FedEx. Only guaranteed by next day. No specific time. Too rural.
