I have decided to create my own reef automation computer. I have created PCB Projects in the past to thought I would do this one a little more open to the world. One of my aquarium based projects: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/diy-reef-pi-led-light-controller-for-photon-led-lights.1041948/

I have called this project "Marine Assistant" it uses Home Assistant for the Software side so creating custom dashboards and automations is simple, Home assistant is also constantly being updated so the risk of the project going stagnent after a while is very low! It can measure and monitor everything you would expect... Temps, Float switches,12 and 240/120v devices, leaks, PH, Orp, TDS, EC and more. Also Spaces and outputs for future new "modules" and custom Circuits. Create your own custom Automations and alarms, an ATO or Push notification if a leak is detected. It is all Local on your own network, meaning no Cloud service needed.

My long term aim for this project is to make it available to everyone in Kit form. I am in the Process of testing and developing the hardware and custom code, Creating online guides to make everything as simple as possible.

If you would like to be updated on the status I have created a website for the Project: https://www.marine-assistant.com

Im Currently looking for Testers so if you have interest in helping me with the project there is an option to opt-in on the website, or just be updated when the Project is ready for prime time.

Ive got both the prototype modules mounted above my frag tank and sump, just waiting for more sensors to arrive now.

In the meantime I have added some leds that are controlled by one of the 12v outputs to my sump, 1 meter in the lid and 1 meter below the waterline to light up the sump itself. Looks really good and will keep me motivated to clean it more now as I can see everything!

More updates to come soon and the website is nearly ready, once it is live I will start sending out test kits to people who signed up on the current landing page.

I'm following as well, I didn't notice this project till today after posting my build thread. But I want to run my new tank 100% from HA so this is very interesting.
I've just read your build thread, great plans and we should definitely do something together!
I saw you filled out the form on my website and I'll be in touch soon.
