Hey guys what would you consider to be the best powerhead for a Waterbox 20 cube?
I'll be honest, since it's a nano tank I don't want anything too "bulky" but still powerful.

I have two nero 3s on my 25g cube, but if you are looking for a budget option, jebaos are great too. I run one on my other tank and would honestly have gone for those for cost savings.

Jebaos are similar to neros, but are much bigger in size.

I think you could probably go with a spin stream or rfg nozzle on the return and not need a powerhead.

I use a tunze nanostream, not sure which model number 6025 or 6045 and I think I'm on the second one in less than five years. It seems to clog fast, like once a month I have to pull it because it shuts down and clean the impeller which usually just has a little bit of biofilm. It does push water well in my 29 gallon, I have to direct it toward the glass so it doesn't blast things.

I also have been using a Sicce Voyager Nano 2000 maybe for a year or so. I HATE the attachment on this unit. It has a little post off the powerhead that "sticks" into a hole on the wet magnet mount. I can never get it properly positioned without knocking it out of the mounting hole. It also seems to clog quicker that what I would consider normal. Not a lot of flow even when clean.

Much appreciated info! Heard alot about the Nero's, but was just seeing if ppl had any experiences with other brands.
A pricey option, but I have an MP10 o my IM Nuvo 20. I was able to purchase it secondhand from another reefer.

I use the voyager sicce nano 530 GPH in my 29 gallon along with the output of my aqua clear 70. I think I need a second sicce to improve flow on the opposite side of my firs one. I have been thinking about the MP10 for a better look with no chords and for different flow modes. A budget option like the sicce models would get you going while you tailor with flow in your tank.

I have the hygger mini on my 10g and love it!
Add one more to the bunch. I have it on my Lifegard 25 and it does great. Lots of adjustability, small, and moves the water very well.

I put another on my Christmas list to either supplement or replace the non-adjustable PH on the other side of the tank.

I would encourage you to search for Tom Reefer's youtbe review:

"Reef Tank Wave Maker -MINI WAVE MAKER! Hygger Nano Wave Maker"

He recommends 2 for a 20 gallon tank. I just ordered 2 myself to try out on a 29 gallon. I like the sim profile of these and the control features. They are $70 on Amazon.
