Hi, I just bought 6 resplendent anthias and placed it my 29 gal. qt.
One of the anthias have some kind of spot on it, it looks like loose scale or something similar, it is not red or swollen. It swims fine and eats great too. It was like this for about a week in LFS, did not get worse or better, any help would by appreciated.
Here are best pictures I could take

Could be an infection popping up, but I'm not 100% certain.

However, I would be proactive and dose a broad spectrum antibiotic (Kanaplex, Furan-2, NFG) just in case.

@DrCooper recently battled a nasty bacterial infection with some anthias, so let's see if he thinks this looks similar to the initial stages of what he saw.

Thank you , I was hoping to hear from you, Is Furan-2 safe to use with CP? I have it in water at dosage 40 ml. per gallon.

The 2nd and 3rd photos look very much like what my Lyretails anthias had. You are doing exactly what you should be so best of luck. I had 2 different batches of 2 different types of anthias from 2 different stores have this. CRAZY.

I am almost becoming the Anthia QT guy to ask when it goes wrong hahaha.
Thankfully HumbleFish and Melypr and others on this site have given me the best advice. I almost gave up.

Thank you for chiming in @DrCooper

I'm wondering if there is a genus specific bacterial disease making its way thru the wholesale facilities right now.
