Of course it depends on the size of your tank but there is a great chart somewhere on this site that tells you all about compatibility. Fairy wrasses & most Flasher wrasses seem to be pretty safe together but if you have a bossy Sixline, you might have trouble. I’m hoping to get a Sixline somewhere down the road after I get these two into my 150. They’re in a smaller tank right now while that tank cycles.Gorgeous. We've got a sixline, and want more, but not sure how many you can have in one tank!
Thanks @SaltyT! I knew you'd know the answer… should have just tagged you! He's really vibrant! Nice score! Cirrhilabrus Isosceles
It also depends on what wrasse you want to mix with most of the time (I say that because at this point I’m not even sure my tank follows any of the rules of fish after adding a tilefish with the gang).Of course it depends on the size of your tank but there is a great chart somewhere on this site that tells you all about compatibility. I know of several people with larger tanks that have quite a few wrasses together & they all get along.
The only thing I have on my "really, really must have" list is a male McCosker's Flasher Wrasse, though there are multiple colorful and beautiful ones that I wouldn't turn down if everyone can get along. Our tank is a 55g, so I figure there's probably room for 2 or 3 at least, and our sixline has, thus far anyway, proven to be hippie like in how nice and peaceful he is. Sometimes I think he/she thinks he's a clownfish because he's constantly swimming around with one or the other of our mated pair. (Or to be mated, one is much larger than the other, but I don't know if they're old enough to have gone through puberty yet.)Of course it depends on the size of your tank but there is a great chart somewhere on this site that tells you all about compatibility. Mccoskers are a more uncommon wrasse however their close relative (Paracheilinus carpenteri) is more common however, not as nice IMO.The only thing I have on my "really, really must have" list is a male McCosker's Flasher Wrasse, though there are multiple colorful and beautiful ones that I wouldn't turn down if everyone can get along. I can't say I've done a massive search yet, but the male McCosker's seems to be somewhat hard to find...

I’ve been wanting a flasher wrasse for my tank too and I saw a beautiful black fin mccosker flasher, I think next time I find one it’s going to be between that and a purple tilefish (I have to remember I have two wrasse already growing out to be ready before going into the main tank).I'm in no rush, right now we're trying to get our first coral frags going, we've got new heaters coming, a refugium, and we're trying to decide if we got the right skimmer or not, but that, too, is brand new so it's far too soon to say.
But when I DO get serious about finding one, even if I have to get on 25 waiting lists, someday someone will have one ready for our water zoo.
