Ok to let my elegance continue eating my 6-line?

So I guess my 6-line died. . . not sure exactly why but I have a bit of an idea. Last night I had some issues in the tank and had to turn off the filter and wave maker. I proceeded to go to bed without turning them back on. Needless to say there was NO FLOW in the tank for about 6 hours before I woke up and, while still in bed, realized what I had done!!! I rushed down to the tank and to my surprise everything was alive, even had some polyp extension on some acros. . . looks like my initial impression was wrong and my 6-line didn’t make it.

Anyway, I found the fish like this, should I try to take the fish away from the coral or let nature take its course (sorry little 6-line)

I feed fish that didn't make it to my BTAs. Sounds a bit brutal, but better than flushing them or letting the bristleworms go to town, imo.

Unfortunate but yes ok to consume as I feed mine pieces of krill and shrimp

The problem is more WHY did the sixline die, and is it something that could be contagious to the other fish in the tank?
