Hi,

Just curious what you guys with 3/4-1" glass thickness use for powerheads? My MP40s won't stay on properly and not sure what else will work well. Hoping to not have to do MP60s as they are more than I want to spend.

Thanks!

There's a guy in our local club that uses Waveline wavepucks on 3/4" acrylic He told me it's strong enough that he thinks it can also work on 1" acrylic

You might have hw wrong spacer on.
My mp40s work fine on 3/4” glass. So do Tunze’s.

I’ve got a tunze 6255 and that magnet is increbly strong. I can’t imagine any thickness that it wouldn’t stick to.

You can also upgrade the outer magnets if needed. I bought diy brand rare earth magnets from Amazon painted them black and put anti skid pads on them. Seems to work. My aquarium is 3/4 acrylic.

Here is the link. They dont list the strength. I did see stronger ones that where thicker in the same brand though. Hope this helps.
