I’ve just received the Universal Co2 scrubber from BRS and I’m wondering what’s the best way to install it on my skimmer. Below is my current sump set up and I’m not really sure which end goes into the air intake of the silencer and also if I need to run a separate tube on it?
Thanks in advance!

The tube gets attached to the tube that your silencer is plugged into (your air intake). I take my silencer off and just connect it straight to the other tube. No need for the silencer, as the air will be drawn through the scrubber and be quiet.
No need to put anything on the other end of the scrubber, unless you want to run another tube into the top of your skimmer to make it recirculating.

Would it help if I run the other end with a tube outside of the stand? Or it wouldn’t really make a difference?

It's not going to hurt. I guess that would depend how air tight your stand is, and if the CO2 concentration inside your home is high or not. If you're going to run it anywhere, then I'd say run it to the outside of your house through a hole in the wall or a window.

Unfortunately my nearest window is about 15 feet away but the air always seems like it’s pretty tight inside the sump and have noticed a difference in PH when I leave the stand door open

From what i have read you will get slightly better PH improvement if you recirculate and will also not deplete the media as quickly
I’ve heard that as well but my skimmer doesn’t have a whole in the skimming cup for me to run the line back into it and I don’t want to drill it because this is only temporary until I have to move

You skimmer doesn't have holes in the lid? Does the lid bounce up and down while it runs? How does the air escape?

If you do run it recirculating, make sure you put a jar to collect condensation. If you don't, your media will get too wet.

Yes, remove the silencer and hose and just run the hose from the scrubber to the intake on the skimmer pump. It looks like you have a reef octo skimmer and fish of hex makes a recirculating adapter that sits on top of the cup and the lids sits on top of the ring. They will send 3d printed plugs which I just super glued into the holes in the lid to seal the lid. You are going to want some sort of moisture catch can as the line coming out if the skimmer will be very prone to drawing moisture and will eventually get your media wet which is bad.

It does but it doesn’t have much space between the top of the lid and where the top of the stand is, so trying to run the line back into it might not let the air back into skimmer cup

Im having this issue with the BRS Scrubber and this recirculating setup. Do you have a picture of this?

I saw a raise initially, but the issue with the recirculating scrubber is I think it gets too much moisture in the chamber. every other day I take it out of recirculating mode to dry up the chamber a little as I am told you don't want the media to have too much moisture. Can anyone point me to a picture or diagram that would help me with this issue?

I ended up doing mine this way, it’s not recirculating but it’s kept my ph above 8 consistently without issues. Media wears out faster but I’d Rather Be Safe not have an issue long term or worry about the skimmer cup getting full and get the media wet

ya, I wish I had a place for a refugium but being a AIO IM 60 gallon I really don't without making it kind of messy. today I have the recirculating off to let it dry out. PH is at 8.2 +- a couple of points. I may end up going the same route. However im not too worried about the overflow as I drilled a valve about 3/4 of the way up in my cup so if that happened it would just go back into the tank and not the scrubber. So far it hasnt happend
