We are putting a new 8’ frag system in at our retail store, the tank will be here next week from Advanced Acrylics along with another 6’ frag tank and a nice 4’ sump.
I have most of the equipment here to start minus the protein skimmer but I won’t need it for a while.
I’ve been keeping reef tanks for almost 15 years and this will be my first build thread on here so I’m excited to share the fun with all of you!
I’m currently running Dalua X4’s and AI Hydra lights over my other frag tanks in the shop so I went with radions for this tank to mix it up. I want customers to be able to see the differences first hand.
The tank has a return and overflow on both ends and I had planned to run two separate pumps but ultimately decided to try out the Maxspect Turbine Duo, I like the other Maxspect products I currently use and this will save room in the sump.
For flow I’m using starting off with a couple of Maxspect Gyre 300’s and will add additional pumps if I need to.
Will be using Aquaforest Probiotic method as I do on the rest of the shop tanks.
These are just products that I’m already using and have confidence in, no paid endorsements or anything like that.
