Hello!
I have this 5G AIO I decided to setup but the pump it came with is absolutely terrible (4x turnover). I had a spare pump laying around that fits, but it is 265G/H. My plan for this tank is some monti’s and acro’s.

Will this return pump be enough flow? I’ll probably put a RFG on it too.

Keep in mind that the g/h rating is max output. That said, for a 5 gallon this means a 53x volume turnover which should technically be plenty. Randomizing flow will be the biggest issue in this setting but doable if this is a controllable pump.

The pump isn’t controllable sadly. The only thing to make it slightly random would be a RFG. In case this wouldn’t be enough I will put in the slower pump and add a wavemaker.

Your biggest issue will be running that much water through the filters. Many are not made for a high flow through them

I had some acro/sps in a 5g and I needed a powerhead as the return just wasn't getting flow everywhere. I used a jeabo sow-4 (I think they make a smaller 3 now) and it worked great.
