The Rubricaudalis Flasher Wrasse is a stunning and active marine fish prized for its vivid coloration and dynamic display behavior. Males are particularly colorful, showcasing bright shades of red, blue, and yellow, especially when "flashing" to attract mates or assert dominance. These wrasses are reef-safe, making them excellent additions to peaceful reef or community aquariums. They are peaceful fish and do well with other non-aggressive tank mates but should not be housed with overly aggressive species. They are known jumpers, so a tightly sealed lid is essential to prevent them from escaping. These wrasses prefer stable water conditions with moderate lighting and flow. Rubricaudalis Flasher Wrasses thrive in tanks with ample swimming space and plenty of live rock for hiding and foraging. In terms of diet, they enjoy a variety of Gamma meaty foods, such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and Nutramar Complete Pellets.
