Hi All,

So, I have a clam shell that is completely covered in Zoa's which looks great, HOWEVER, it's also home to some mean Aiptasia that I can't seem to kill with superglue or Lemon juice. It seems to be the only place in my display tank that I have seen any Aiptasia. I have a peppermint and the only other Aiptasia I saw on some rock seems to have gone.

The peppermint seems to not go for the ones in this Zoa shell. I have recently moved it from my DT to my external fuge but am wondering if I should just remove it from the system completely or am I probably too late anyway...

The picture is of the shell where you can see the superglue and thought I'd got it but it recently popped up a few cm's away and I have seen a few smaller ones the other side too..

Any advice or thoughts greatly appreciated as always,

C.

I personally use epoxy to cover completely and have you tried aiptasia X
I have tried to be careful with the superglue as don't want to cover too many of the zoas, I guess i'd have the same issue with epoxy.

Not tried Aiptasia X as heard quite a few stories about it making the problem worse but I know there are success and disaster stories with all products..

You may have to weight the pros and cons think that bunch of Zoas will continue to spread even with just one head yea it might look bad at 1st and you might be upset but it’ll eventually grow over the patch you covered

Epoxy did not work for me personally, it covered the single aptasia but somehow it released one more head. I used boiling water mixed with citric acid, worked wonders. I never saw any again.
