I picked up a frag from ORA and frankly disappointed in the coloration under bluish lights. Can I see how your colonies look in your tanks? Feel like slow growers too.

I had mine under a right mix of lights T5, LED and metal halide, as you can see it’s was not blue dominated lighting, under blues it was unremarkable. It was more of a yellow beige colour but changed dramatically over the five years I had it eventually looking like a smooth boulder and slightly green tinged.
This was it 2015, 2016 and then 2019, after five years it’s was unrecognisable. Slowest growing sps I’ve ever owned by a long way.

Wow, it turned into a boulder after 5 years?! Thanks for all the photos.

I love this coral but mine always branched very well and grew pretty decently. High par with white light and it looks nice light green with good yellow branch ends. The one above that turned into a bolder shape might just be an encrusting variant. After a number of years mine was a foot wide and lots of branching fragments were given away. Very underrated coral imo.

I mean depending on how patient you are, you could fake a branch with porites.

before and a whole year and a half after:
