Cool looking crab, but from what I read they for one get very large and are intertidal crabs, not living under the water all the time. I don't see much info on them.
Yah same here looks awesome has been playing really nice with my fish so we’ll see what happens

Wonder if he can be trained to eat in the same spot in the tank?

People who've successfully kept crabs long term without fish losses all say they feed the heck out of the tank, or in some cases, feed the crab directly. Maybe giving him a teeny cocktail shrimp once a week will keep him on good behavior.

if you keep him full he'll probably be okay. If you have a bunch of little 2" gobies do headcounts once in awhile or notice that one or two of them haven't been seen in a few days :D

We get them literally by the billions over here in Australia in the northern parts. I was just up on the NSW North Coast for a holiday and we saw the armies out on the sandbars foraging at low tide. That is why they are called ‘soldier crabs’ - they come out in huge masses to forage, safety in numbers.

They are intertidal animals normally, feeding at low tide. I’ll be interested to hear how yours goes in the aquarium.

Does it have long pointed claws or short blunt ones? That will tell you how likely it is for fish disappearing. They are all a risk IMO. Pretty crab tho.
been watching him all day hasnt made any moves towards any fish also tried some mysis nothing didnt even touch it
