I happened to acquire an Innovative Marine fusion 20 this past winter. I've had it for months throwing around different ideas until I stumbled upon a thread on R2R about a really successful fusion 20 SPS tank. So, i realized this should be fun to do and mentally accepted the challenge. It will be placed between my two current tanks which are located in my office. I'll continue to post pictures as I acquire more equipment, but any feedback would be appreciated. My plan for equipment are:

XR30 G4 - overkill?
MP10
Gfo/carbon - either reactor or media for the baskets.
Probably going to dose 2 part, but interested to see if anyone had success splitting thier calcium reactor to 2 display tanks? Or if managing two calcium reactors is unnecessary... Anyway, no rush... If I learned anything, patience is key! Thanks all.

Following! I would definitely split the systems if I were you. Running two independent systems would cost much more money.

I don't have any experience with calcium reactors, but I'm planning on using one for my next build. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use only one for two systems, just need to make sure it's big enough.

Ya, i have a vertex CA reactor running on the two DT's (they're plumbed into the same sump). With this tank being it's an AIO, it will be separate for sure, i'm trying to identify my maintenance tasks now on this new tank. Obviously i'm going to do a percentage water change each week or bi-weekly, where i rarely do them now. But just trying to be creative with utilizing what i can from the existing systems which are right next to this new tank.

Hi everyone, it has been a few months but I just got water in this tank yesterday. Current equipment:

2 AI Prime HD
Ice cap skimmer (may or may not use this)
Tunze nano Ato
MP10
MightyJet pump
Ehiem Heater
Salinity and PH probes using a PM1 module to my existing Apex.

I am in the middle of transitioning salts to RPM Fritz (blue), so this tank is fresh with it. Using AquaVitro "seed" for cycling. Here's a few pictures.

Hello and looking good!

Just for curiosity what schedules do you run on your tanks and what other lights do you use?

Few new things since my last post. I removed the skimmer and replaced it with a bag of Marine pure bio balls in a mesh bag. In each overflow I replaced the filter socks with the custom caddy containing gfo and carbon as needed. I think I found the right rock to complete this nano aquascape as well. Still cycling with aquavitro Seed.

Hi, with the XRs, I'm close to what wwc runs, it's mostly blues with no more that 10% whites, I'm at 80% intensity. With the AI primes, pretty much the same except with the primes you can go above 100% color. All lights start to ramp up by 12pm and ramp down around 10:30.

Hello, an update for anyone following. I added a small chromis 3 weeks ago and moved a zoa cluster to the tank. PH holding steady at 8.2, salinity at 1.026. I haven't checked other perameters yet, nor done a water change. Coming along though!

Hi there - another month update. This tank is holding up rather well. I've just been doing 5 gallon weekly water changes, and just changed out the chemi-pure elite. My corals are growing rather well. My Acro has encrusted it's base and I see some new structure forming at the top. Additionally I added a handful of other corals from my frag tank, some SPS, some Lps, also a few softies that keep spawning.

Parameters seem stable, I do see myself getting a DOS but only added KH once so far.

NO4 - 0.1
NO3 - 1
Calcium - 424
Alk - 8.3
Mag - 1398

Thanks all!

Here's an update after a year and a half. Not a dominant sps tank yet, parameters are now stable and that's key.
