Stocking list for a 2.5 macroalgae/maybe coral/aiptasia tank?

I’m thinking dwarf seahorses, but maybe a goby or something else I can put in there? I saw at reefapalooza ny that pnw customs had a puffer in one of their tanks
So thoughts?
(Anybody reading this that is worried about my past expieence with my 10g, my levels r stable and all is under control)

In a tank that size, one clown goby or something would be nice, but a couple of dwarf seahorses would be the coolest.

I think you're talking about dwarf puffers. They're a brackish species that only grow to about an inch long, and they would also make a cool addition but would definitely be more comfortable in something a little bigger like a 5-10 gal because they are an active fish.

Well it’s probably in there just for the show but it’s in poor taste. A tank at those places is just up for a few days.

An ittttty bitty goby like a trimma or green banded goby.

Honestly, I don't really feel that there is any fish suitable long term for a tank under 5-10 gallons, but if you're going to do it, I'd say go with a neon stripe goby or clown goby.

Dwarf seahorses are going to have to be fed like every 4-6 hours and it will be hard to keep water parameters stable in a 2.5 gallon tank.

For the puffer, did they acclimate a fresh water pea puffer over to saltwater? Most puffers need like 30 gallon plus.

I would not put a fish in a tank that size, I feel its cruel. Just keep it as in invert tank.

Seahorses are not hardy, they need exceptional water quality all the time or they will die. A hob filter won't cut it for seahorses.

Even for a very experienced hobbyist, it is a challenge to filter the water in a 2 gallon tank. Its a hobby within a hobby, because its very hard to do.

You struggled with a 10g, now you want even smaller. Definitely don't do coral. In my opinion only experienced hobbyists should keep fish in tanks this small. Do macroalgae and maybe a small invert and call it a day.

as I did say, my 10g is all stable and such
I am keeping gonis alive..... and thriving
