One of my clowns had a few white spots on her a few days ago. I closely monitored them and they where not spreading or changing. As of today, maybe yesterday, they are gone, however my blue tang now has quite a few. This does not, in my inexperianced eyes, look like ich, and these almost appear to by pertruding...maybe like a pimple would be on us. Looking for some advice (of the 2 clowns, and goby in the tank no one else seems to be affected, the tank does have an Aqua Ultraviolet system on it as well)

With ick, you can count the dots, and gives it that likelihood.
Assure first though that it is not sand on its body (hence how the spots on clown disappeared so fast)
This also could be lymphocystis which is affected/triggered by poor water quality and/or diet in many cases.

What is your:
ammonia
nitrate
ph
salinity
water temp

What test kits are you using?

AGE OF TANK

What foods are you offering tang?

Unlikely to be sand, as with the clown it was there, and unchanged for 2-4 days But will certainly verify

And this is certainly the case, you can easily count the dots.

Water Temp - 78-79 (Apex and Inkbird Probes)
ph - Currently 8.14 (Apex)
Salinity - 34.7 (according to Apex) -Refrac agrees (33-34ppt)
ammonia - 0 (API Test)
nitrate - 0 (API Test)
Phosphates - 0 (Hanna Checker)

Age of Tank - 12+ months (tank was moved 6 months ago)

Foods - 'Gum Drops' and Plenty of Seaweed (Two little fishies)

It looks a bit too large to be ich. Blue tangs sometimes develop mucus plugs that come and go. Do you see any spots on the fish’s fins? If so then it isn’t this mucus plug thing, and more likely to be ich.
