I'm going to bite the bullet and get a tank for a porcupine puffer. It's been a dream of mine and my spouses for a bit and I now have the means to do it. Couple questions for anyone who has experience:
1. 150 Gallon tank. The tank I have my eyes on (second hand) isn't drilled. If the tank has a puffer and maybe 1 or 2 other fish (FOWLR), do you think a sump will be necessary or would a high quality filter be ok? Maybe a hang on? I could plumb in into my current setup (136 gallon tank w/36 gallon sump one floor down), would that be too much for that sump?
2. Other tank mates for a porcupine? Would plan on getting them all fairly young/small.
3. Weird question now, lol. I have a special needs kiddo who can get... mad. He stomps a lot. The tank would be against a wall and on the other side is the hallway where he has a tendency to melt down. How much noise/vibration would get through and would it bother or stress the fish? For context, my reef tank is in the same room and nobody in that tank cares, lol.
