The Kallax and Sump system I can't figure out

Hello everyone. I am thinking of setting up a 80x30x30 cm aquarium but I can't figure out a sump system because of space constraints. I also have a 30 cm cube aquarium. I thought of placing it in a section of Kallax(ikea bookcase) and using it as a sump, but it seems quite difficult to place a Protein Skimmer in it. I think it would be too long to set up an aquarium with a side sump system. Dirt could accumulate on the other side. A back sump would make an already narrow aquarium much narrower. I really need your ideas.

Make sure your stand can take all the weight. Can't you buy a new bookshelf? There's not too many stuff on your shelf...
