Hi all! Could someone help figure out what’s wrong with my Kenya Tree? It’s been in the tank for 2 weeks now, and closed up a few days ago. It’s stayed closed since. Thanks in advance!

Testing parameters now, I’ll add them here in a few minutes. My setup is a BioCube 32g. Stock lighting, placed middle of the tank. Moderate flow. You're going to get asked a series of questions that will help people diagnose your issue.
You're going to want to post all your water parameters and probably you're lighting setup / where you have the kenya tree placed.
I’m testing parameters as I type, is it normal for them to spread through that method? Or is that a form of polyp bailout?Without parameters it’s hard to say. Mine started to wilt and look dead only to come find out it was actually sprouting n scattered pieces that are growing in my tank.
That's good to know, thank you!As far as I know that’s how they start new frags if you will. As I had no chemical warfare going on. Nothing would be irritating my Kenya
Just tested, my parameters are:You're going to get asked a series of questions that will help people diagnose your issue.
You're going to want to post all your water parameters and probably you're lighting setup / where you have the kenya tree placed. Also the age of your setup. Based on the rock I see I'm thinking it's a relatively net setup.
Nope, nothing I can think of. I glued it down 2 weeks ago and I am overdue for a weekly water change tomorrow.Any big changes in the past few days? Did you move the frag, add something to the tank that might have changed flow or lighting around the coral?
My salinity is at 1.023... needs to come up. Do you think that could be doing that? I use Salifert. Tank is at 78.Kenyii are easily upset by the following:
Low flow
high salinity
low ph
water temp too warm
** High phosphates
** high nitrates
Hopefully youre not using API test kits which will give you a range and likely not accuracy
Moderate light and water flow
salinity 1.024-1.205
temp 77-79
Phos < .04
Nitrate < .04
ph 8.1-8.3
Been running for 5 months now, and all the other softies are super happy in there (toadstool, mushrooms, clove polyps, and a gorgonian too)How long has the tank been set up and running for ?
Oh man, I totally copied at pasted my parameters wrong...I see problem. Nitrate is a bit high and Do bring up salinity a little.
You can use a pouch of ChemiPure elite which will stabilize nitrate and keep it in check as well as reduce any toxins present and polish the water
yes- Increase salinity to 1.024-1.025 and lower white intensity a little and increase flow slightly OR direct flow toward them, not at them.I'm guessing it either has to do with salinity or lighting at this point. Even though it's stock lighting on a BioCube 32g, could this be from being placed too high in the tank/too much lighting compared to where it was at in my LFS?
Those newly numbers really seem pretty good...Hi all! Could someone help figure out what’s wrong with my Kenya Tree? It’s been in the tank for 2 weeks now, and closed up a few days ago. It’s stayed closed since. Thanks in advance!
