Why My Rainbow Acan Start To Look like Brain Coral??

I got this rainbow Acan around 2+ years ago from LFS. I was told it is from Australia. So it look like Acan from the beginning, but as time go on it strat to look like brain Coral.

Does this happen to you guys too? Normal?

Is this a particular specie that is little different than regular micromussa?

Although it looks pretty odd, it still looks like Micromussa lordhowensis to me. I think it looks really good.

It does look odd right? I can only feed it from side. The other acan I can feed from all sides.

It grow slow and super flat like a pita bread, unlike other normal acan grow up and all over the place.

It does, the corallites are very tight and slightly meandroid, but it's obviously healthy.
