Been quite a while since I've posted about my clam addiction so I'm here to show them off!

I have a very special one coming in a few days too!

Nice collection. I am finally able to keep clams alive. A par meter has made the difference for me. I was light starving them in the past and didn't realize it. I have a maxima and derasa that are thriving now. Your maxima don't seem to mind the sand. Do you have a rock under them?

I find that long term, 400+ PAR is best, and more is better.

How does it look compared to their photo listed? Just wondering because thier photos don't look cooked and they said they shoot under natural sunlight and 20k MH but the maxima I got from them is somewhat under whelming.

Very nice clams I’m guessing when you said you have a very special clam coming, you got one of those Maxima teardrops I haven’t seen them in 20 years I used to have a bad claim addiction myself when Clams Direct was around, I recently got a black and white Maxima a couple months ago. I couldn’t resist when I had the opportunity to get one

Im very pleased, the blue is as bright as the picture. Can’t wait until it hits 4-5”. I wish I could get a better picture to show you. I’ll keep trying.

Thanks I can see the blue in your image. It's probably my lights. I may need to turn up whites a little. I'll play around. Especially now that I'm able to keep clams alive.
Are we supposed to keep one of each :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

My tank is a 80g shallow lagoon, only 16" deep so I'm getting quite a bit of light even on the sand. No rock under them, they are 5-6" long so no need to attach to hold them in place.

I really didn't put much thought into their photos, I saw blue and that was good enough for me.
