I didn't look back in the thread, but what are you running the output from the ozone generator through? If you smell ozone in the room then that is too much. Not necessarily from a health perspective but from a corrosion perspective. It will cause any rubber or plastic that is not ozone safe to become brittle and eventually crack which could lead to the failure of some equipment. I run ozone 24/7 on my 460 and I run the output through an ozone reactor similar to this one (mine is custom built by @Sisterlimonpot who owns and operates 4th Dimension Aquatics www.4daquatics.com) https://www.avastmarine.com/products/mutiny-ozone It works flawlessly to remove the ozone before it gets into the room and I only change the carbon out about twice a year.
Wait what?!? Sister is avast? Man I’ve been gone a long time haha!

Picked up 3 clams from Pacific East Aquaculture this week, they are beautiful! I will take some pics Later after the acclimate to their new home.

@PacificEastAquaculture Thank you for the happy healthy clams!

I gotta frag pack of some killer acros coming soon.

I also ordered 6 bimaculatus anthias for a total of 7 to add to my anthia collection lol.

7 bi macs
12 ignitus
5 lyre tails 1 turned into a male already he is all purple happened in about 2-3 weeks, and he is really aggressive with everyone in tank now.

I also installed 1 of 3 400 watt metal halide pendants I have for the clams. I am using a Radium SE 400 watt bulb with a Reefbrite electronic ballast. I love metal halides, the clams look spectacular under the pendant.

Awesome! I just picked up a 6” maxima myself and planted it right under my halides and it’s happy as a clam! Haha

These are the pics from Pacific East Aquaculture.

I’ve gone clam crazy, I bought a gray maxima clam at petco for 29 bucks 2 months ago it survived and has doubled it size. Figured if that baby made it, tank is good to go for some

Pacific East Aquaculture has huge blue Squamosas and I got one, then I got two more a maxima and a crocea.

Now I want a bunch, all colors and different kinds. I’ve got the clam bug now smh.

Currently 2 maximas, 1 crocea, 1 Squamosa.

Need a green blue brown yellow and gold and deresa with the blue rim.

That second one is hot! I might pick up a purple and gold from him now that momma is obsessed with the blue one.. that’s the first clam she’s ever seen and her favorite thing now haha! Glad I got her hooked it allows me to spend more money without a kitchen pass! :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

Yes that bright blue pop gets everyone hooked at first sight. I’ve been trolling the internet looking for unusual clams now.

Very beautiful clams indeed. I just went downstairs & took a picture of my teardrop, not as colorful but he’s very happy & healthy!

I just added up total wattage on my lights and it’s currently over 5000 watts. :zany-face:
New to the thread so playing catch up. I love your equipment choices. Not a single quibble. Makes me want to ask, what standby generator have you chosen? Mine is coming up on 17 years. It is Cummins Onan, but still.

I think a standby generator is a great option, I have to look into one that has enough juice to run the tank.

I want to get a home generator like a generac but haven’t crossed that bridge yet or priced one out yet with installation.
