I have a 125g that has been running 6 months. I recently started carbon dosing and I am not happy with the amount of noise or footprint of my current skimmer.

Well @IOAOI you know I’m available for testing. I have 2 tanks running and I’ll be putting the skimmer on one of those. They both run Vertex Omega Protein Skimmers so it will be a good comparison to see how @IOAOI
stacks up.

I’ll test for for quality of skimmate pulled, wattage, build quality etc. Please expect that any review I do will be very objective. I won’t be doing anyone any favours.

This system is the youngest system. I’ve documented this build in my build thread here on R2R and on Instagram. I’ve built everything by hand since I’m working on building systems for others as a business. Even the rocks are built from scratch. You can follow it and other stuff here.

However I’m thinking I’ll put the skimmer on the Acro dominant system that I’ll post later, that has fat fish and lots of poop.

After looking into @IOAOI I'm excited for the prospect of helping to test and report back!

I have a 125 that I’m running an old Vertex Omega 180i that I could try this on.

I rarely take full tank shots but here is one I found on my phone where I was playing with some lenses.

I could also try this on my Red Sea Max S400 that is currently using a very old Bubble King Mini 160, but to be a permanent replacement for the Bubble King it would have its work cut out for it. My Bubble King does a great job.

I have a 50 Nuvo and been thinking about switching skimmers since my simplicity skimmer won't tune properly. This would be nice!

I have a 175 gallon that was recently moved and disturbing the sand had upped the nutrient load . It has just transitioned from green water to surface algae. It needs moderate skimming under changing conditions. Cleanup crew going in soon, then fish and soft corals. Old skimmer was DIY, I would love to try a new skimmer.

I have a 60 Cube that's always had nitrate issues. Currently running a 6 year old RO 110 classic that takes up too much space in my diy sump. The dimensions of your skimmer would save loads of space and hopefully help get my nitrates under control !
