I bought this guy on Monday this week. It's eating fine... swimming ok.... but I noticed this scar or whatever it is on its right side the day after I brought it home. I am not sure if it was there before it came to me or something happened overnight.

Can anyone please identify this? And a possible cure for it.

Thanks in advance ...

Pics very blurry but I see bite marks on fin which suggests aggression within tank
Please post video which may be clearer

It's some sort of injury - and it seems fairly large. I might consider an antibiotic if it is worsening. Also - why is your water so cloudy - could that be causing skin irritation?

I quarentine my fish in a large plastic tub.... the water is not cloudy.... it's because of the plastic ... it's not clear like glass

Im now at a larger screen and can see what is a bacterial infection from an injury or infection itself. You will want to move fish to a separate sterile tank and treat with Seachem Kanaplex or tri-sulfa and add aeration with an air stone and monitor ammonia levels with a reliable test kit

I wish the pictures were clearer - the vertical nature of the lesion could mean Uronema. I’ve never seen that in Pomacanthus angels, but I have seen it in Centropyge angels.
