Awesome. I have some GHA that my tang and foxface refuse to eat no matter if it’s short or long and it will not go away. Urchin and snails only make a modest impact. It’s only algae in my display but my refugium has all kinds of algae I do not want to kill off.

Finished the 21 days. Hair algae mostly gone. Some rocks are clearing, others still covered with growth but not hair algae at least. Need the coraline to grow back and add more coral to cover the rock. Added more CUC last week and pods this week. Anemones looking much better, though two are still pretty withdrawn. Interesting that they have shorter tentacles with small bubbles when before they were just long and flowing. I'm going to start vacuuming out the "gunk"/debris over the next few days and clean things up. In the end I'd call this a success! Thanks to all.

I like to dose a little bacteria if you have some. Helps compete for the extra landscape.

Added half of the .15cc spoon that came with Flux Rx today. Pulled carbon and leaving skimmer on and caulerpa and ulva in. Pulled as much hair as I could. Fingers crossed

Update: it has been 5 weeks since I added my original dose of about 3/4 pill to my 110 total water volume system. I have GHA and I know that the general thought is it takes all of the 21 days to effect GHA.

First of all I am happy to say that I saw no ill effects of adding the fluconazole. All fish and coral were fine. I started with such a small dose (even though this is a micro dose thread!!), that after two weeks I decided to add more. I added about a pill and a half. This Saturday will be three weeks since adding that. I have not noticed any GHA dying off. I think I am going to do a water change Saturday, if about 15%. Then Saturday night add 3-4 pills and wait another 21 days. I will keep this thread updated.

Thanks for the update.
We have been guessing for the most part about how much per gallon is a "micro dose".
Good to know, please update as you see fit.

I'm mostly reading feedback about GHA when microdosing, what about Bryopsis, is it as effective ?

What dosage would you recommend for a 150G?

Preliminary update. 5 days in and the algae seems to be breaking up, turning white on the tips, some strands are looking fully white. I thought it was detritus at first but the GHA seems to be disintegrating when I pinch it. I can definitely see some dino strings growing on the algae which I believe means it is dying back. Dinos are only on the GHA and very sparse. Going to try to keep pulling it out. My SPS are covered in bits of GHA that are flying around.

Caulerpa in my fuge seemed fine as of last night.

I am very impressed with the effects of a small dose of fluconazole. I used 200 mg in approximately 800 liters of water, and after three days, the bryopsis is dying and being eaten by the fish.

I removed the carbon, kept the skimmer running at minimum flow, and continued using the refugium. So far, the chaeto appears to be unaffected.
