Hi fellow reefers,
So I got a red headed solan wrasse 3 days ago from LFS.
He seemed healthy on purchase and went straight into my QT tank for observations first before deciding if I needed to treat.
Yesterday I noticed some slight tears on his side fin and then today it has actually started to rot the fin away.
I have tested water which seems fine and not quite sure best way to try and save this lovely fish.
I have dosed with fluke solve today (uk version of prazipro) but he is deteriorating further. Has ate great and been active but not eating now and pretty lethargic looking.
I’ve now also noticed that he has some spots on his side.
I am thinking of doing water change tomorrow after giving fluke solve 24 hours and adding API melafix.
Any advice on what I may be dealing with here and best way to treat would be very very appreciated!!!!
