This snail is the only place I see this. I thought they were air bubbles, so I poked one to be sure.... but it's firm. It didn't pop. Just pushed the snail around.

Is this bubble algae?

The humane side of me says remove and scrub. The experienced with bubble algae side of me says toss it.

I took him (and the rock he was attached to) out. Scraped all the bubble algae off, then scrubbed his shell and the rock with some hydrogen peroxide. Gave a few rinses with salt water and put them back.

I don't see any other bubbles in the tank.

Should I just keep a close eye out now?

livonia AKA bubble algae
Place snails in container of tank water and pop the bubble and scrub the skin off the shell

Also the green algae seen on the rock didn't come off despite some pretty aggressive toothbrush scrubbing. Is that coralline?
