So here’s my question.

I purchased a used avast reactor from my lfs they don’t have any history just a trade in.

Looks like it was run with gfo as there is a “rusty” discoloration along with appears to be traces of gfo inside. I’ve cleaned it out and planned on using the reactor to either run carbon or c02 media in.

If this was acrylic tube was used with copper would it have any affects being run dry with air pulled thru it not exposed to the tank?

Any way to double check it doesn’t have traces of copper in it?

I was drawn to it due to the size and it would fit in my limited stand space.

Attaching a picture could help. What size is the reactor . I had a bad run with copper and have seen my tank look terrible with mild exposure. Would definitely not use for carbon.

This is not for use in tank or with water

Carbon would be for filtering air coming in from outside line into skimmer
