Probably not baies. It would take two because they would both release the eggs and sperm at the same time in to the water, much like snails do. Then the ones that would not sucked into the filtration would fertilize and be free swimming. Pics would be nice if you can get them. Maybe for some reason ones just though it was time to breed.

It might have tried to spawn but with out a pair it will never happen. It will just become food for corals, fish, snails, ect. or end up in the filtration. It is just free food. My snails do it all the time. I have come home and my tank looks like someone poured milk in it, all the corals are exremely puffed up. I throw a bag of carbon in the sump, wash out your sponges/filter sock and you should be fine.
