Just updated mine !! Matched my Frag tank light to the lights ( LEDs ) over my DT . Running a pair of G4 XR15PRO’s on my DT and got a great deal on a XR15PRO G3 for my Frag tank. Hanging it 13.5in above the water surface! Granted the tank is still a work in progress as well as my DT .. but work in progress.. tank I build my self it’s = 10g measures 29in long x 13.5in wide x 7in tall ..

I like the setup. Good thinking on "matching up" your lighting. I still gotta do that. Switched my frag over to ATI T5 but yet to bite the bullet on my display.
Nice plumbing work too; very tidy.

What is the best lighting for frag tanks. I see a lot of white light being used buy in my main tank my radion is set to the SPS setting and is more blue than white.

IMO: chose the same lighting setup that you have in your display so as to minimize the need for acclimation.

How much does it cost to start up a frag tank?

Uhhhh... that is a tough one. Budget for the same spend that you had on your main tank and you'll have just enough left over to put some nice sticks in there. How's that? When you think about it, you gotta have all the same hardware -- but maybe a size or so smaller for each.

Without a list of miracles two pages long, NOPE on making good money. It is really fun tho to SPEND good money on a frag set up. My only regret is not tying my systems together. Almost doubles the work load.

Depends on your definition of good money. It really has more to do with planning and experience than miracles imo.

I bought this, it fits perfectly but it's hard to tell when it needs to be filled. I'm planning on building my own but have no clue where to start
