Got this awesome 24k gold rainbow acantho today from Ben @BSA Corals

It has mint green stripes, red accents on the mouth, and golden coloration all around. This is a coral that looks great under blues, but doesn’t need them. It looks even better with some whites added in the leds

Not concerning

I have 1 acantho, 1 cynarina, and 1 indophyllia that all have the same "crown"

Specifically I had an indophyllia that appeared unhappy and was flat. Sometimes it shows its crown, which means it looks happy

Good to know, thanks! I actually have an encrusting leptastrea that has a polyp swelling up like a balloon at peak hours and I have read it was intense LED related so I wasn't sure if I should be concerned when it came to these.

My Cynarina. What's up with the tumor looking overinflation?

Totally normal, it's just the mantle folding over at full extension. Most meat corals will do this on occasion when they are particularly happy.

Yours will have them too. They should come out almost every night. I am training mine to come out in day time and having good success.
Yeah, I see them every night when the lights are off. I'm just saying, I'm loving your photos of them haha.

Edit: are you training them via target feeding during the day? Sometimes I'll see mine peek out momentarily.

I found it easier to have them come out earlier, during evenings.

They start coming out at dark originally

So I turn off flow and target feed 30 - 60 min before dark 2-3x a week. Then I moved to 1 hr before dark. And then the Cynarina became comfortable opening feeders almost anytime I have evening lighting which for me starts around 6 pm. I just checked at 6:20 pm and my blues are on and the cynarina feeders are out with full tank flow
