As a beginner, I did a lot of research, and I want to have a tank.

But I still hesitate about whether I should have a FOWLR or a reef tank.

Could you give me some suggestions?

I would really appreciate that.

Aside from that, could you give me other suggestions as to why my fish tank is getting dirty more often?

What size tank is that? What kind of filter are you using? Are you using tap water or rodi? how new is this tank, Im guessing very since the water is that cloudy and yet there is no observable algae growth on the glass or structure. How often do you do water changes and how much do you change?

Not enough rock, I suspect not enough flow, suspect not enough mechanical filtration.....
Really need more details on your set up.

Tank looks very cloudy. How long has it been up? Lets work on getting it properly up and running before making decisions about livestock or corals
