pumps

I will be running a Sequence Dart on the sump return and a Pan World PS 200 on the closed loop. They are both rated at 3600 GPH. Here are the latest stand shots

A living...

No, I have never did it for a living. I have been told I need to though. I don't think I would enjoy it as much if I HAD to do it. I am about to finish up my degree in Special Ed this year. I hope to be teaching full time by this time next year.

One more thing

I am entirely too cheap to buy most things I like. We did not grow up too well off like others I know so when we wanted something nice we usually had to figure out how to make it.. My Dad bought me a few model airplane kits when I was a kid and I eventually started scratch building radio controlled airplanes from plans. I think that is where I learned most of it. Of course I am still learning. This one was a learning experience in that I wanted the columns on the hood as well but I still wanted a flip top lid because the tank is 30 in. deep. I did not want any seams to show so the shots of the corners are the result. The column stays and the "caps" raise away with the top.

Thanks

Thanks alot Krig!!LOL I work P/T at Star Aquatics here in Augusta Ga and the owner, Jeorge Madina, Drilled the tank for me. He has drilled hundreds so I thought it best if he did it instead of me. This will be my first experience with a closed loop. I did not want to see a bunch of power heads in this one. Much cheaper than Tunzes!!! I got the pump new for $250. About $100 in the nozels (Don't tell the wife) I have to admit that I am considering adding a 4 way oceans motion on it though. .... I guess if I do that I will negate the savings but al least it will look cleaner.

Red Mahogany

I wanted black edges fading naturally into the Red Mahogany stain. I didn't think I could pull it off using Ebony stain so I burned the edges and stained over it all. Here is the result....Like it or not. Keep in mind, it still needs to be clear coated.........

Man...what an update and looks like you've been busy. The stand turned out awesome and the tank looks incredible. How long did it take you to put all that rock in there and get the aquascaping like that...it's killer. I love all the open area and "little" caves.

Great job and congrats on getting it all up.
