hi guys

i want to put an order with reefcleaners.org and wanted your opinion on what critters i should get
im looking for inverts that will stir the sandbed and clean the rocks but wont climb the glass
my tank is a 40 gal rimless and I don't want to take any chances with snails climbing out or clogging the overflow box

thanks!

well not i doubt youll find any snail out there that wont climb on the glass. so should stay away from that lol but if wanted snails the Nassarius Snail are pretty good sand sifting.

Why not get a Diamond goby or a sand sifting star ?

Caution with the diamond goby tho cause if you get one you better not be thinking about keeping anything like frags in the sand. and also expect it to take every shell, frag, small rocks or actually anything that can fit in its mouth.

Myn i love lol he usually takes all the snails and hermit crabs into his holes or throws them around its pretty funny to watch

i really dont want something as big as a tuxedo urchin roaming on my rockscape.
i was thinking 40-50 Blue Leg Hermit Crab (i have 5 now and they do climb the rocks)
4-5 small conchs and a bunch of brittle starfish
will Nassarius Snails climb the glass?

In my view hermit crabs are little punks. They regularly "shell-jack" (killing the snails) to obtain new shells. My experience is the snails are more consistent in removing algae.
