With a Red Sea S 550 G2 on the way, I’m debating on a couple things and would like feedback.

  • Return pump - Cor-20
  • Flow - Ai Orbit 4

I already have two Nero 3, and figured to budget things, Orbit 4 would given the most bang for my budge. I’m thinking I could expand to two later if necessary but for now, one Nero 3 and the orbit 4 in the tank display would be enough.

Return pump, I have an apex, figured Cor 20 would be the best for my set up. I was also considering the Red Sea return pump and controller and it comes out to about the same price. Another option I thought about was the AI return pump, but I’ve read some poor reviews on it. Thoughts?

Tank information:
  • Display Tank Dimensions - 47.3"L x 26.8"W x 25.6"H
  • Display Tank Volume - 118.4 Gallons
  • Total System Height - 60.2"
  • Total System Volume - 145.1 Gallons

COR 20’s crank …
Nicer if you are part of the Apex Universe…
if you are more into the Red Sea, perhaps a Reefrun skimmer and Reefrun pump …they can share the single controller
