Help me decide on this product: Kasa Smart 2K QHD Indoor Security Camera, Person/Baby Crying/Motion Detection, 2-Way Audio, 30Ft. Night Vision, Cloud/SD Card Storage(Up to 256 GB), Works with Alexa & Google Home (KC400) https://a.co/d/7doE6j9
That's a nice shot of the wall, but what does the tank look like with night vision?I have an Amcrest Pro HD cam mounted on the ceiling across from mine. Web connected with a phone app, smart home integration, and has pan / tilt / and two-way audio capability.
The shot was of the camera, not the wall, smarta$$. It does have nightvision, and I'll reply with a pic of that after lights out. In the interim, here's a screen shot of the view from my phone. That's a nice shot of the wall, but what does the tank look like with night vision?
It looks like my older Foscams (Which is believe are the same as Amcrest). This is the shot from a 720p Foscam. I'm happy with it, but I don't have the table space for a Foscam by the tank I was planning to put it on.The shot was of the camera, not the wall, smarta$$. This one is a bit better, and I believe 1080p, so not like ultra high resolution or anything. However, it has a much better resolution than your pic at night. I'll share a pic here after 10.It looks like my older Foscams (Which is believe are the same as Amcrest). This is the shot from a 720p Foscam. I ordered a 4K and a 1080P camera off Amazon (Free returns ) to see if they filter the IR out better. This one is a bit better, and I believe 1080p, so not like ultra high resolution or anything. However, it has a much better resolution than your pic at night. I'll share a pic here after 10.
So I just realized what is going on. My camera in my basement (the Foscam) is pointed down at the tank so the IR reflects down. The other camera is pointing straight at the tank so it reflects right back. I'll have to figure out a way to mount it higher. This one is a bit better, and I believe 1080p, so not like ultra high resolution or anything. Let us know what you come up with.So I just realized what is going on. My camera in my basement (the Foscam) is pointed down at the tank so the IR reflects down. The other camera is pointing straight at the tank so it reflects right back. I'll have to figure out a way to mount it higher.
I am still returning the camera I have now, it only works with their app. I want something I can use with Blue Iris.
I use their app, im not sure if you can use blue irisDo you have to use their app or can I use Blue Iris?
You can't really see much in the tank. Here is what I am looking for. My eel won't eat in QT (velvet outbreak). I made him his own tank after treatment but I want to watch him. This is the camera from the other QT tank. I want as good as this. This is an old 720p Foscam, but it may just be at an optimal angle. No reflection, but it is grainy. It improves when the moonlights are on, but not by a lot.
Bite your tongue!Hopefully the cams won't catch a tank explosion! lol
