I know this is an old thread but i'm glad to have found this as I experience the same bloom and I'd never thought it's phyto bloom. Having to scrap the stuff off the glass just so I can see my tank only for the glass to cover up again in a few hours along with cloudy green water was driving me crazy wondering what's happening. I thought it was an algae bloom so I increaesed my inverts population to somewhat help out and did water changes as well as changing out the filter floss often. I stopped dosing phyto to see if that was the issue for a few days and happy to see its clear again (before I saw this thread today).
