My magician paly in one night went full umbrella mode. And its little skirts are very tiny. I woke up to my ATO adding too much to my tank. 2.5 gallons over night
Has been doing good since I got it last month.
Only changes are I added two new zoas and a few frags to my tank yesterday after dipping them in coralrx.
Tank parameters:
Alk- 8.5
Ca- 410
Mg- 1480-1500
Ph-8.2
Phosphate- .04
Nitrate - 5-10
Salinity- my ATO added an extra 2 gallons of fresh water while I was asleep last night. Dropped it from 1.025 to 1.024. I corrected this and it is now back to 1.025. I do not think that a smal salinity swing was too much to stress it out. I changed out 3 gallons of water with 1.026 water to fix this problem
All other corals were not affected by the extra fresh water addition or whatever is upsetting my paly. I did a quick 5 min dip in lugols iodine to help it. Seemed to be the least invasive thing I could do, it is now in low light and lower flow while I keep an eye on it.
