Hello guys,
I am removing my refugium for now as my Chaeto and sump in general are covered in GHA. My nutrients are ok, but I don’t want GHA being the one to keep it under control.

I got reefmat to make sure nutrients stay in check, my question is how can I have most of the pods from the Fuge when growing away microalgae ? I know the shake method might work, but if I shake it GHA also falls off from the chaeto.

Thanks

If GHA is the problem, take the Fuge off of the Aquarium for a month. Use a small heater, pump or air stone on the Fuge, till the GHA Dies. Rotate the Chaeto by hand every couple of days. I think you may be asked for problems with a GHA growth in your Aquarium, by removing the Fuge.
