I think/hoping its just a bristle worm, but the pictures I've looked up look a little different from this guy in my tank. This is the best video I have, hoping to get more evidence. Thoughts?
I got a green star polyp (gsp) frag about a week ago. At first it was open and doing well but then I noticed it closed and has been retracted ever since (about 5 days now). About a day ago I was looking at the fragment and noticed what looked like a bristle worm in it, poking out, now there are...
I have a Yellow Watchman Goby and Pistol Shrimp pair who have the unfortunate pleasure of having a huge bristle worm (or two) try and share one of their favorite caves.
This morning I noticed what appears to be a few of the bristles sticking out of the side of the Goby's mouth/face some, like...
Hi all,
I added uncured live rock to my tank a few weeks ago (unwise)
I'm overdue for a water change & now see all these worms on the glass.
When I zoom in on them they do have bristles...What do y'all think these are?
Thank you
PS
The only live stock in the tank is a turbo snail & 2 of...

Found this little guy rummaging around on my zoa frag. Was able to scoop him up but wanted to see if it’s something I should be worried about? From what I’ve seen on other threads it looks like it may be a bristle worm, but not sure. Thanks!
Hi everyone!
I have read plenty abo it how bristleworm a are mostly good with the exception of one kind. I don’t think this one is that bad type but I suspect this fella was doing something I’m not too happy about.
I have a cauliflower coral right by where I spotted him today. A couple of days...
Researching fire and bristle worms I was curious if anyone, at a certain size (or other reason), starts removing bristle worms? Obviously you want fire worms out if possible IMO. I have a 20g AIO and there are two exceedingly large bristle worms in the tank, never hurt anything but obviously...
Hey y’all, I posted on the first worm I found like a week or two ago and only got one response. But I just for another one and he’s a little darker than my first photos so maybe it tells y’all something different. He’s so small I found the sweet spot where my phone would focus. I haven’t put...
So, a friend of mine found some free live rock, with clownfish and corals from someone that was shutting down a small tank and asked me to put the fish in my QT since it was empty while he finished setting up his QT and DT.
Long story short, the previous owner had a bristle worm infestation...
Hey guys i’m fairly new to the saltwater hobby but i bought a green bubble tip and i think he came with this worm, what i think is a bristle worm. What’s the best way to get it out of the tank? it’s atleast 6 in. Helppp!!!!!!
I’m still learning this hobby, and I’m like 99.9% sure this is a common bristleworm. However, figured I’d make sure.
this guy is harmless right? Any benefit to leaving him in the tank (I’m sure this will raise some sort of debate).
thanks!
Hello All,
I've had a red, brittle starfish for a few months and recently saw about 10 miniature (Image 2 is one of the 10 starfish), clear brittle starfish emerge from a hole in my live rock under a hammer coral, ranging in size of 2-5 mm diameter. These little guys have been hanging in there...
Good day all, my assumption this is a baby bristle worm but would like a confirmation or a different opinion. Mainly hoping it’s not a B-Word worm! Lol! Thanks in advance!
Hi Guys,
I bought a new hammer coral about two weeks ago and today I noticed a possible hitchhiker on the back. I dipped the coral in Coral RX Pro and Seachem Reef Dip when I got them.
It seems to protrude and then goes back in if one of my hermits passes near.
I’ve tried to take some pictures...
Wondering if this is a bristle worm.. I know I have some in here but this this is super fast and doesn’t seem like it is one, and if it is not a good one. Also, ignore the golden girls commentary in the background
Hi all, my first post here so bear with me. relatively recently have had a 37 gallon going for about 2 months. I started with some great live rock but discovered what I think is a bristle worm. wondering if i should let him stay or remove immediately. He comes out during feeding time between...
I think I have a bristle worm in my live rocks, but I don’t know if it’s a fire worm or if I should leave it in the tank. I also have what looks like a peanut worm, and the fish at the end of that video can someone help identify it? I think it is a juvenile zebra blenny. Rocks came from Hawaii.
