I recently purchased a green bta! Now when I got home I noticed it had a small hole in its foot, will it die or survive? And is that cup to small?

if they are otherwise healthy, they usually recover. i would just look to make sure something hasn't obviously burrowed in their. if the cup is too small, it will leave. nems are like balloons - he can get as big or small as he wants.

Generally a couple of reasons it gets that hole is presence of a worm or it’s starting to prepare to split

Won’t the bta just extend its foot out and expand? But stay in the cup.

probably - i have never tried to keep one in a cup, but if the cup isnt where the BTA wants to be, it will leave (ie wrong flow or light). they can ~crawl~ short distances, or just let go an float somewhere else.
