I called them and talked to the owners sister she's the one that put me in contact with the man I got my tank from and she's going to have the owner hold it for me until I get off work. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
Find out if it’s a Acanthurus pyroferus; many LFS call mimic tangs, yellow peel tangs, all mixed up. If it is an Acan Pyro, you would be bringing home my special Chocolate Tang!!!

True. Is it the Philippine or Fiji Mimic? Lemon Peel Mimic or Yellow Mimic? Blue eye or no blue eye?

We won’t be able to tell. He will be all yellow - takes a long time for them to transition to chocolate. And when they are that small, pretty much look the same. The LFS should know though.

Springeri are typically good.

@Stang67 was there another one you found that was decent?
Springeri are awesome. The only one of my first fish I still have. They are great.

They have the blue behind the eyes usually if they're a chocolate.

Not a fan of Chromis myself. When they get big they get kinda ugly. Mine is kinda aggressive towards other "Damsels" like my Springeri and Clowns. Also it chases my Cardinals on occasion.

Are they mean? I was thinking a small group of them?
Damsels usually you don't keep in groups unless it's groups of 5 or 6. Mine both keep to themselves and are rarely together.

While beautiful, prone to urinomi and will kill each other. I’d go with Tim and Stang’s suggestion of springeri

Honestly though Amanda, if it's me... I'm buying it either way if it's healthy.
