Cold,windy, rainy here today.
So far our warmest day this whole year has been about 65.
I'm sure summer might come :thinking-face: :oops:but one of the greatest things about this hobby is inside the weather is always happy ;):smiling-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Family, what do you think about the API tests that are in most LFS?
I have used them for years.
I don't have a problem with them but it seems they get roasted on R2R constantly.
I know Frank uses api.
I've used them all but a few months ago I went with Hanna for nitrate, phosphate and alk and have been happy not trying to decipher colors.
I still use api for calcium and ph. And alk on occasion since its an easy test.

I use salifert, but API gives you a general idea. I like Salifert because you get more specific numbers, but that's not really needed. API will be fine, but in the future you may find that you want a brand that gives more specific and accurate numbers.

The truth is that I haven't had any problems, well until a new guy came to work there who had to repeat the test several times because he did it wrong and that already makes me distrustful, it's just to know your opinions, I bought these for my personal use in case of an emergency, I need the nitrate one but it is expensive lol

Great!
Kev uses salifert and they've been around a long long time with very few problems.
Hanna is cool cuz numbers are nice. I did get a bad batch of regents so that can be a problem.
I order everything from premium aquatics and have had absolutely fantastic quality and service with no bs.
I am ordering a ph monitor right now!
