I have a 125 that has been up and running for about a year and a half. I have it lit with a hamilton fixture (MH 250 x 3/VHO x 2) and a diy moon light hanging about 12 inchs above the water. I made a diy overflow from pvc to pull water to my 29 gallon sump. A no-name skimmer from one of my lfs, dual 250 watt heaters, many sorts of media. My reef is mostly lps, fish, and inverts. I can let you know soon how fun it will be to move the entire tank, because I am moving about 5 minutes from where I am now next Saturday (fun, fun, fun). Good luck and let me know if you need anything else.

I think your tank is 72"x 18" x 24". ;) looks like a standard 125 to me. Might want to double check. That will come in handy when you are ording lights and things. :)

The simple answer is any tank can run adiquetly on a simple berlin system IE rock , skimmer & good flow however
the more goodies You add the cleaner the system will be with less work

I dont have a 125, but a 120g close enough?
Here is what im using for equipment...
closed loop running dart pump going through an ocean motions 4 way and then into 4 returns drilled into back of tank (two high two low) then split again into Y heads with round and flared nozzles for output for a total of 8 return nozzles
I run two sea swirls in the tank tied to my return pump which is an ehiem 1262 from the sump
Have custom made phosphate and carbon reactor which then goes into a 5 gallon bucket of fine sand that is my deep sand bed (denitrator) this is all plumed into the sump
Auto top off via kalk reactor for water evap
Run two 250w icecap mh ballasts with 20k radium bulbs
Reef octopus 200 skimmer
The tank is bare bottom with live rock
calcium reactor

Slayer!

I have an All-Glass 125 pre-drilled with 2 overflows that drain into a sump refugium that was custom built by Franz Metzger.
Three pumps are attached to the refugium; one (Pan World 40) to circulate water through the refugium, one (Iwaki 40LT) dedicated to the protein skimmer, and one (Pan World 100) returns to the tank.
Protien skimmer is an Environmental Tower Super Skimmer (E.T.S.S.)
Water is returned to the tank through 3 Sea Swirls.
Lighting is the Outer Orbit Nova 3-150w MH, with 4 power compact actinic bulbs mounted 6" above the top of the tank.

It has been up and running for 3 years and it has been fantastic. It is mixed with LPS, SPS, softies, shrooms, zoas, clams, anemones, and fish

Good luck!!!

I also have a six foot long 125. Great choice! Its used as a room divider and can be viewed from both sides. Everyone always says that it looks larger than a 125.
