Good day

looking to upgrade from my 120g aquarium to most likely 180g

Tank is in living room with basement underneath main level.

how would iknow if the tank weight of 180g could be an issue for the floor

also for power, currently my 120 runs off of 1 electrical plate,2 outlets-could their be potential power issues, a friend mentioned would have to maybe add more power for tank

Even after 10 years feel like a newbie

You're adding 500-600lbs but spreading out across another 2 feet. Is it going where your 120 is located now? What's the basement look like below there? Which way are the joists running? Is there room to add support columns underneath the tank? As far as the electrical, I would definitely run another circuit to the tank.
