All my perimeters seem to stay in line since about 6 months. My question is I'm not sure about the flow on my hammer. My hammer is in the sand but just can't seem to get the right flow. My set up is just now 1yr old. This is all I've had for last 6 months. Something knocked over my hammer and I just can't get it looking good again. Any advice you guys can give on anything?

Normally myhammer is about the size of a fist. It's not trying to open. Lights are out will take photos tomorrow. I wasn't able to top off my tank one day and that's all it took I think.i was out of town. Will test all tomorrow and get advice on perimeter tomorrow.

Fir starters, get it off the sand as sand will irritate them. Additionally , on the sandbed, it is the area of lowest light and flow. These guys need moderate light and water flow, in which the polyps will be waving in the flow but Not vigorously. Calcium becoming elevated and also assure the phosphates are not elevated.
When damaged, it takes a while for it to recover. Feed it mysis shrimp 2-2x per week

Ok, the PAR is reaching them but that's quite high. Mine grow out of control

Those are great! Nice green!
Ik, it’s a project tank… so can’t blame the insane PAR, (slow acclimation was tough)
Just wanted to put that out there that I’ve had success on sand beds with high light and flow :)

Thank you! It's been on the sand since day one. Will move it up a third tomorrow.
