Hey guys, currently have 3 chamber sump, but who ever designed the 1st chamber is only less than 4 inches wide and can not for a 4 inch sock filter or cup, wanted to add a clarisea but will not fit in this chamber, considering taking the baffles out of the 1st chamber and just run a 2 chamber sump, I know what you are thinking why not just move the baffles greater than 4 inches, problem is silicone takes 24 hours to cure and I need my sump to run my tank
Thoughts guys?
much appreciated

Well, given the ATO chamber, it does look the right way. But that is definitely a rather small drain chamber!

You could potentially take those baffles out - they're mainly there for bubble prevention coming from the drain.

Yea it’s a pain with the 1st chamber being so small, haven’t a clue who ever made this sump did it this way to be honest,
You reckon it will still perform good if I remove the the 1st baffles out? I notice that the drain pipe from the weir there isn’t any bubbles

What if you were to flip the sump around completely? Your return pump looks like it will fit in the small chamber leaving you with a larger overflow chamber for your socks. The heights of the weirs look the same so that shouldn't be an issue. Just a thought.

Yea I did think of that only problem is I can’t get the sump out without having to remove the centre brace of the stand to support the tank as it’s full and running
