The tank I ordered a few months ago is finally scheduled to be delivered next Friday!

Tank dimensions are 75"x30"x22" eurobraced, 5/8" Starfire. It'll have a coast to coast overflow on one end taking up 3" of the total length.

Stand is made of maple, with a high gloss white finish. The stand will have a small ledge all around it, I think it was 1.5" all around.

Sump is about 100 gallons. Simple layout: chamber with drain/socks and space for skimmer, then a refugium, then a return section.

I've been gathering equipment for this for months!

Lights:
Have 2 GHL Mitras 6200HV. I don't plan on heavy SPS, just a small collection of encrusting montis with lots of LPS. I'm not 100% set on the lights, I'll entertain other options after the tank is set and I can see the Mitras in action.

Skimmer: SRO 3000 internal

Return: Fluval SP 4

Water Movement:
Currently have a Gyre 150 and a Jebao RW8.

ATO: Avast Marine

Controller:
Picked up an Apex Jr and added: eb8, pm1, breakout box. Good timing with the apex Jr firmware increasing the module count to 7 :)

Rocks:
I got 200lbs of dry Fiji rock and plan to use my existing tank's rocks to seed it.
I'm planning to use the new dry rock in the display, and have the old live rock in my sump to start off. Been playing around with scapes and looks like I only used about half of the new dry rock haha.

Question to those with large tanks: how did you do the initial fill-up?

Rock and sand first, then pump in SW?

Make SW in tank first, then add rocks and sand?

Rocks+sand, then rodi, then put salt in filter socks to mix?

I love your aquarium without the aquarium, lol. I'm the same way about new builds. I have always put base rock, then sand, then the rest of my rock in and then premade saltwater

I think that's what I'll do for the initial setup. Making water then mixing sw in batches is gonna kill my patience though! I've waited long enough for the tank to come together, hopefully I can last a bit more for the fill up hahaha

I know how you feel I did it with my 220. It took 3 days, lol I just kept a power head in the tank while waiting.

Tank has been up for a bit now. Replaced the mitras with 2 Hydra 26 HDs. The SRO skimmer was a tight fit, so for now I have an undersized cadlights in there. Also have caulerpa in the fuge.

Time for pics!

Was lucky to have a reef store owner scape for me. Its got tons of caves, coves, ledges, etc. Lots of places for fish to swim in and out of.

Right now have 8 fish:
- 2 clowns
- six line
- 3 lemon chromis
- kole tang
- yellow tail blue damsel

Cool- I have a 200 peninsula on order and also am rockscaping on land. :) Mine is pretty different dimensions though, 48x36x27 inches.

Did you build the light rack? That's one thing I haven't figured out yet. Who did you order your tank from, if you don't mind saying...

Yep, built the light rack. Thats just 8020 stuff sitting on the eurobrace. Its only temporary though, adding a canopy.

I ordered through Reef Boutique in Toronto

Took some pictures today and adjusted white balance so the pictures look more like what I see in real life. Not really sure about how to do stuff photography-wise yet lol.

And I have this monti that looks to be growing well, but has really dull colors.
Anyone have ideas on what's wrong?
