Moved the tank yesterday and down the stairs.

Placed the stand.

Next step is going to be leveling, wiring in some outlets, building the control board and building the canopy.

Going to be doing a custom scape with Real Tonga Branch (have about 270 pounds)

Will keep updating as I go.

Waiting on my sump till next weekend.

I will be finishing the basement around the tank.

Similar build in the very near future.
Question. With Apex, why an Inkbox controller?

I like the redundancy.

The Inkbird I use has wifi and 2 temp probes, it gives me the ability to read temperature from 3 different probes when we include the apex. The inkbird and apex will send me notifications about temperature and if something is off between them it’ll give me multiple chances to be alerted and added redundancy if a probe malfunctions. Also can read temperature from different places in the tank/sump if you decide.

If we consider the heaters are set to a certain temperature internally, the inkbird and then the apex as a final failsafe I believe I can negate any issues.

So many tanks have crashed because heaters are such a weak point in this hobby.

Going to be using real Tonga branch rock for this build, I am currently bleach curing some. Have about another 70 pounds to do after this.

The scape will be minimal, just curing all my rock at once, will then pick through it for what I want to use.

Finally got the canopy fully up, painted, sealed. Then got some fans up, as well as the lighting!

Next step cementing the plumbing and finishing work and trim on the canopy, stand etc. Then comes the wiring.

Very curious to see your branch rock aquascape ideas.

I will for sure post when I get that started! It is currently drying out outside right now!

Honestly aquascaping is my least favourite part just because I’m so meticulous with it.

Looking good.
I am not sure how far you are with plumbing and other works, but I like, especially for peninsula tanks, to have the return pump as close as possible to the overflow box to avoid losses and gain on pump performance.
This would mean to turn your sump 180 degrees. Just a thought.

Edit: I just saw the pics of the plumbing... never mind the above.

I did think about that, I wanted to run the overflow as short as possible, I also wanted to run 2 large manifolds.

I will eventually be changing both vectras to abyzz anyways, not super concerned.
